I grew up in Toronto, Canada. After serving several years in the military, I noticed the aches, pains and injuries of my fellow soldiers, as well, as in myself. I wanted to do something about these afflictions. I’ve searched around for what works from cutting-edge American sports science to Soviet Spetsnaz (spec ops) techniques to ancient Indian and Chinese exercises.
What I hope to share can be applied to the young or to the old, athletes to office workers with desk jobs and of course, my fellow brother-in-arms. I want to introduce you to ‘joint mobility’ exercises, kettlebells and other unconventional techniques to (p)re-hab your lower back, neck, hamstrings, shoulders, knees and ankle pains.
On the other hand, I will blog about lethal self-defence. As much, as I want to heal the body’s pains, I will write about how to destroy the human body when you are confronted with asocial violence.
There are many misconceptions about self-defence and bodily pain. I hope to dispel conventional myths via the written digital word. You can read more about me via the About page and get an overview of my training doctrine, strategies, tactics and techniques here.
